Ambassador Yu Zhenqi Attended the Ambassadors’ Forum at SAIAS
Since Spring 2019, in collaboration with the Center for Russian Studies at ECNU, SAIAS has hosted the Ambassadors’ Forum to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between China and Russia. On April 17, 2019, Ambassador Yu Zhenqi, who was China’s first Charge d’Affaires in Ukraine and subsequently served as minister-counselor in Russia and ambassador to Belarus and Bulgaria, came to SAIAS to share his reminiscences about Sino-Russian relations in the late 1990s and early 2000s, which were then complemented by his observations and reflections on current issues in Sino-Russian relations.
