Brookings expert Li Cheng on the growth of US think tanks

    On April 21, 2014, Li Cheng, a senior fellow and director of the John Thornton China Center at the Brookings Institution, visited SAIAS and gave a talk entitled “US Think Tanks as Exemplified by Brookings: Origins, Growth, and Prospects.” Professor Feng Shaolei, director of SAIAS, chaired the talk. Participants included cadres from the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and the Social Sciences Office of East China Normal University, as well as scholars and students from Fudan University, the Shanghai Institute of International Studies, and ECNU.
