Talk on the Ukrainian crisis and US-Russian relations

    On October 28, 2014, Rugene Rumer, a senior researcher and director of the Russia and Eurasia Studies Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, visited SAIAS and gave a talk on the Ukrainian crisis and US-Russian relations. Dr. Rumer’s research covers Russian and ex-Soviet politics as well as their economic, security, and foreign policies, especially Russia’s relations with the United States, China, and the Middle East. Dr. Zhang Xin chaired the event, and participants included SAIAS faculty Feng Shaolei, Pan Xinming, Yang Cheng, Bao Chengke, Wang Tiejun, and Dr. Andrej Krickovic (from Russia’s High School for Economics). Some graduate students also attended the event.
